On the morning of March 25, the provincial science and Technology Innovation Conference was solemnly held in Guangzhou, and the Shenzhen Branch venue attended the conference in the form of teleconference. The conference awarded the science and technology award of Guangdong Province in 2019, and Obi Zhongguang applied for "3D vision chip and full platform compatible high-resolution optical measurement system", which won the first prize of science and technology progress award of Guangdong Province Science and Technology Award in 2019.
At the conference, Shenzhen enterprises and universities won the science and technology awards, including the Shenzhen Research Institute of Tsinghua University, Dajiang, Shenzhen University and Sanli spectrum optoelectronics. According to statistics, Shenzhen has won 22.9% of the province's awards, demonstrating the deep strength and strong development trend of Shenzhen's scientific and technological innovation.

"3D vision chip and full platform compatible high resolution optical measurement system" involves optics, vision, algorithm software, hardware, Internet and other fields. The award of the first prize of Guangdong science and technology progress award is a full affirmation of OBI Zhongguang 3D sensing core technology's international leading position in independent research and industrial application. This award-winning technology breaks the monopoly of commercial 3D sensing technology in Europe and the United States, and fills the gap of domestic 3D sensor industry. It is of great significance to promote the localization of independent core algorithm chip in China.

During the research and development of the project, Obi Zhongguang has made a number of major technological breakthroughs. Obi Zhongguang has independently developed a high-resolution sensing system based on SOC structure and built-in 3D vision chip. This technology uses the cutting-edge single chip system (SOC) technology to integrate the hardware controller, microprocessor, image signal processing module and external device interface in the same chip, so as to realize the universal application of 3D vision SOC chip. In addition, Obi Zhongguang independently developed an algorithm that can realize high-precision and high stability depth image video output. The algorithm overcomes the design problem of structured light speckle algorithm, studies high-resolution, low-power, high-precision depth calculation method and 3D imaging algorithm, and solidifies the algorithm into the chip, effectively improving the operation speed and reducing the power consumption. In addition, Obi Zhongguang has also developed a set of 3D sensor system SDK and middleware. Through independent research and development of 3D sensor SDK algorithm and middleware algorithm, the accuracy of rgb-d depth image in medium and long distance is greatly improved, which helps to realize more accurate 3D environment sensing function of mobile terminal.
The AI 3D vision technology independently developed by Obi Zhongguang enables intelligent terminals to truly perceive the outside world like human beings and obtain high-precision 3D information in real time. It is a key technology of AI industry in the era of Internet of things. Seven years after its establishment, Obi Zhongguang has mastered the core technology of independent intellectual property rights in the whole field of 3D perception. At present, there are nearly 700 global patent applications in this field, ranking among the top three in the world with Microsoft and apple.
